Q1. What is a natural henna hair color?
Natural henna based hair color is a blend of Lawsonia inermis, Cassia Auriculata and Indigofera tinctoria, all 100% pure botanicals. Lawsonia is the original henna plant. All natural henna are a blend of the above three botanicals. The lawsonia plant is responsible for providing red tinge to the hair, Indogoferae provides a black tinge. Cassia Auriculata is a natural neutral conditioner.

Q2. Why do I need a strand test?
A strand test is necessary to determine the time required for applying the hair color and also see the hair results

Q3. How can I get sample hair strands for conducting strand test?
A few strands can either be taken from the head or by using the fallen hair, from a brush or comb.

Q4. How do I use the Product?
Mix the henna powder with lukewarm water and apply it to your hair. A person can either apply the paste by hand or use an applicator or a plastic application brush.

Q5. In what proportion should the powder and the liquid be mixed?
Take as much powder, as required to cover your entire head. The quantity will depend on the length and thickness of the hair strands. Add as much water as required to form a thick paste. The paste should have a smooth consistency, it should not be too lumpy or too watery.

Q6. How often can the hair color treatment be done?
In the normal course, application of henna hair color lasts for about 4-5 weeks, the treatment can be repeated thereafter.

Q7. Which color will suit me the best?
Refer the color chart and choose the color accordingly. The product, does not lighten your natural hair color.

Q8. What if I don't see a color change?
If you don't see a color change, it means that either you have chosen a color too close to your natural hair color or you did not leave the hair color long enough. A strand test will help you avoid the situation.

Q9. Can pregnant women use the product?
An expecting woman, needs to confirm the usage of the product with a a medical practitioner.

Q10. How do I remove the hair color?
Various removal methods can be used depending on the time when the product was applied. Some of the safe and effective removal methods are as follows:
  • In case of a dark shade, apply a mixture of molasses and baking soda in equal parts. Apply the mixture on the entire hair length and allow it to dry. Rinse the mixture with cold water, when completely dry and hardened.
  • In case of a light shade, apply a mixture of Crystal light lemonade mix and a conditioner in equal parts. Apply the mixture on the entire hair length and allow it to dry. Rinse the mixture with cold water, when completely dry.
  • If the above methods are not of help, please consult a professional hair care expert for removal of hair color.
Q11. What should I use, if I have problem in rinsing the treatment?
Baking soda can be added to water while rinsing

Q12. Is a patch test necessary?
A patch test is necessary as one may be allergic to natural products also. If on application of the product, a person observes abnormal reaction, they should discontinue the use.

Q13. Why is my hair color still gray, even after using the product?
  • If the hair are still gray, it means that the usage method followed was wrong. For color henna, the paste must be applied immediately after making it. It should be kept on hair for a minimum of 30 minutes and washed with water.
  • In case of natural henna, make the paste and keep it for 2 hours then apply on hair. Leave the paste on hair for a minimum of 90 minutes and rinse.
  • If after the above steps, the desired coloring is not achieved, then the shelf life of the product must have expired.
